Affiliate marketing is one of the fastest growing and lucrative business that you can do it online. It is also one of the hottest topics on the internet.

This type of marketing has been around even before the internet. The internet is simply a medium that automates the business. Many other time-consuming and costly processes are taken care of for you such as transactions, payment processing, customer followups, etc.

An Affiliate is simply a "middleman". He brings the merchant and buyer together and collect a commission for promoting it usually after a deal is closed.

The principle is actually quite easy. Usually affiliate links and IDs are provided and what the Affiliate has to do is to drive traffic using the Affiliate link to the site to earn the payout amount stated in the Affiliate Marketing site.
