Fishing in Kenya is as good as the finest anywhere, depending on what you are after and the time of the year. While Kenya is best known for big game fishing, you can also fish for trout, bass, Nile perch and tiger fish.

You risk finding nothing, but you may get the chance to have the fight of your life with one of the giants of the sea.
Many captains will use light tackle at your request, which can add tremendous sport to bringing in a good fighter, even one which may not be that big. Remember, you have chartered the boat and have the right to add direction to the trip. A tagged release policy is encouraged for willing fishermen. You will receive a certificate verifying your catch.
Your hired Kenya big game fishing boat comes along with lunch and other biting which you will need for a days trip. Remember to carry lots of sunscreen and a hat due to the scorching sun and heat in the sea. You will spend most of the day tugging and coiling your tackle in the open of the boat and things can get pretty hot. The boats are well equipped and up to world standards of fishing boats so you need not worry of your safety. They are also insured. This of course depends on whether you take the outfit around the corner or a recommended Kenya Mombasa big game fishing company.
You day will end at the fishing club and you will either be jolly happy to have caught some serious big fish or cursing at the horn blowers of the day narrating their prowess at the bar.
