Save Money in Your eBay Business, Share a Car, Cut Costs, Add More to Your Bottom Line
As you get known during product buying expeditions at auctions and flea markets youll meet with other regular visitors from all over the country, sometimes the world. The only ones who interest you, for the purpose described here, are people living in your locality who also share your product buying interest. But you must make sure the people you target are collectors, not dealers, they visit similar events to purchase items for their collections while you visit to buy items to resell on eBay.
The important thing is, these people are not a threat to you, they do not represent competition for your business. Any who do threaten you or your business should be excluded from this idea (if you can do so without upsetting others whose company you do want to keep).
Its highly likely twenty or more people are travelling from the same major town or locality to the same venues and they may be making the same journey several times each year. Its also likely that some will be travelling alone, in their own vehicles, while one or two might use public transport or share a vehicle and divvy up on expenses.
Look for five people to share a car or van, share the cost four ways (the driver or car owner gets to travel free) and cut your expenses, thereby adding more to your bottom line. Try not to be car owner or driver, you need your wits about you on buying expeditions, you dont want to arrive at the venue tired and let others beat you to the best early pickings!
Car sharing is common at these events, just check out who the other locals are, and make sure to arrive in the refreshment room just as they do. Then get chatting, share your idea, wait for someone else to offer to drive and provide the vehicle.
