Sony Ericsson W300i Mobile Phone Review

The Sony Ericsson W300i was one of the first walkman phones produced by the company, and its design remains one of the most iconic ever seen, managing to combine simple lines and functionality with the elegance and timelessness that has made it a popular choice with music fans for more than 3 years since its first release.

The phone is an unusual wide shape, and it flips open to make it extremely comfortable in use. Most of the music player features of the phone are accessible on the external screen while the phone is shut, and there are easy to read controls that can be programmed on the exterior of the phone where they are simple to find.

The Sony Ericsson W300 shares many of its features with the similar Z350i, although boasts a more fashionable casing that is intended to make it popular with younger users. Both phones have a VGA camera, which is of a slightly lower standard than many more modern phones, although it is still very good for taking the occasional snap on an evening out, and it is extremely easy to use without even having to open the flip.

The large internal screen on the mobile phone is extremely high resolution, and will allow you to read a web page quite easily, and also makes watching short videos very easy. High speed internet connection through GPRS makes it easy to download files from the web, while the phone also comes complete with wireless Bluetooth connectivity and USB2.0 compatibility to make sharing files with your computer and other mobiles very simple.

Of course, because this phone is first and foremost a media phone, the music features are absolutely paramount, and must be absolutely right. Despite the fact that this was an early model in the walkman phone range, it still manages to beat many rivals in terms of the range of different file types that it can play, which now includes AAC and MP3. The phone also features a number of tweaks to make it better for music including a special bass booster and a sound mixer to offer a richer and more rewarding music experience through the high quality headphones that the phone comes complete with.

For anyone looking for a good quality music phone that looks great, the Sony Ericsson W300 walkman phone is a great choice, and one that should definitely make your shortlist.
